Year 11 Study Support

After half term year 11 students will be engaging in a blended learning approach. We will have two pathways, one for those looking to stay on in St Joseph’s 6th form and one for those looking to pursue other further education options.

Transition to 6th Form at St Joseph’s

In the final half term, beginning the week of the 7th of June, we will plan activities linked to transition into 6th Form. This will involve tutorials/taster sessions, either in school or via remote learning, and tasks designed to bridge the gap between ending GCSE’s and beginning the 6th form courses. Students will be able to opt into relevant courses they may look to take.

More information regarding timetables for lessons, tutorial and bridging work will be made available before the half term break.

Pupils not Transitioning into 6th Form at St Joseph’s

In the final half term, beginning the week of the 7th of June, we will be providing a blended learning approach with resources on Google Classroom and the school website. Resources will include links to taster days at local colleges (virtual and real), apprenticeship workshops and accompanying parental packs.

Pupils will receive Google Classroom assignments to follow and navigate through the resources. Further details will be shared before half term.

Further careers advice is available – please email [email protected]

Any students currently engaged in wellbeing support at school will still be able to continue to access this provision after half term.
