Computer Science

We are living in the midst of a revolution powered by computers and they are central to all the things we take for granted. Computer Science is a subject which is becoming more and more central to every type of business.

This course is for those students who want to explore and investigate what goes on ‘behind the scenes’ in a computer.  For those students who like solving problems and want to learn how to code.  GCSE Computer Science is a great way to develop critical thinking, analysis and problem-solving skills, which can be transferred to further learning and to everyday life.

Students will study two exam-based units covering computer memory, storage, networking, system security, computational logic, data representation, computational thinking, algorithms and programming.
